QPR v Newcastle Betting Preview
The Magpies are still in the weeds a little bit, but their survival hopes have been boosted by the fact that Wigan missed an opportunity to pull level on points by failing to win their game in hand over Newcastle. Still, there is a little work to be done by Newcastle to ensure that they are playing top flight football next season. Grabbing three valuable points while Wigan are entertaining themselves in the FA Cup final over the weekend, would be huge for Alan Pardew’s men.

Online bookmaker Promotion
The already relegated QPR have failed to score in their last four outings in the Premier League and Newcastle have failed to score in three of their last four. So it could be worth taking some 0-0 Bore Draw coverage with online bookmaker Bet365 for this one. If the game ends in a 0-0 draw, then the online bookmaker will refund all losing stakes placed on the Correct Score, Scorecast and Half Time/Full Time markets. Great coverage and could well come into play on this one. New customers registering an account with the highly rated online bookmaker Bet365 can get up to a free £200 bet as a welcome bonus.

QPR v Newcastle Recommended Bet:
Nothing much left to say about Harry Redknapp and QPR this season. The results are pretty much staying the same and they will be playing Championship football next season. They lost 1-0 against Arsenal last time out and that has helped total up to five defeats in their last seven. Rangers have gone without a win in those seven too, and the goals have all dried up. They are without a goal in their last four matches, just one in the last five. Their form at Loftus Road has fallen away, losing the last two, and one win in their last ten there. So nothing to write home about at all but they could still drag the Magpies into the relegation battle if they spring a win on Sunday. QPR have failed to score in seven of their last nine home matches in the top flight though.

Newcastle go into the weekend three points clear of the drop zone. It may not matter at all if Wigan don’t find a win in their last two matches. But three points would probably put Newcastle safe and really they couldn’t ask for a much easier match than against the bottom side in the league. The Magpies took a 1-0 home win over the R’s earlier in the season but their away form may make this more nervy than it should be. Newcastle have only won once away from home all season, totalling a W1 D7 L10 record on their travels. They are without a win in their last six away from home, but are unbeaten in their last two at least. Newcastle have been struggling for goals on the road, converting at a rate of just over a goal per game, but conceding at a rate of two per match. Newcastle have won three of their last four league clashes with QPR, all of them by a single goal margin.

There have only been two goals scored in the last three Premier League matches between these two, so a goal-fest is not on the cards. Interestingly, what may make Magpies fans even more nervous, is that Newcastle haven’t won their penultimate match in a season since back in 2003, losing five of the eight since then. You would expect all the fight to have gone out of QPR for the season, but Newcastle still have their vulnerabilities. Just to put the lack of goal scoring power on both sides into context, Newcastle are without a goal in their last 262 minutes of play, QPR being on a run of 365 goalless minutes. Not likely to be a classic and a 0-0 draw may not be far out of the picture. However, given the trend of Newcastle’s one goal winning margins, it may be worth looking at that for a price of 3/1 at online bookmaker Bet365.
